The object of the Contest is for a Participant to submit, on behalf of their Child, a poster, photo story, podcast, or essay inspired by Lou Gehrig’s Luckiest Man speech.

Students should create a tribute to someone who inspires them with strength and kindness, honoring Lou Gehrig’s humility and appreciation for others.

Limit one entry per person/email address per Child.

Judging Criteria:

Connection to Theme – 35%. How well the submission reflects the inspiration of Lou Gehrig’s “Luckiest Man” speech and honors someone who demonstrates strength, kindness, humility, and appreciation for others.

Creativity & Originality – 25%. The uniqueness of the idea and the creativity with which the student presents their tribute.

Storytelling & Emotional Impact – 20%. How effectively the submission communicates the story of the individual being honored and the inspiration they provide.

Effort & Presentation – 10%. Overall effort and care put into the submission, including organization, clarity, and completeness.

Quality of Execution – 10%. The quality of writing, visuals, audio, or overall presentation depends on the submission format (poster, photo story, podcast, or essay).

One (1) First Prize to be awarded. The first prize winner will receive four (4) Field Level tickets for winner, winner’s Child, and two (2) guests to the Milwaukee Brewers home game currently scheduled to take place on June 2, 2026, the opportunity for the winner’s Child to receive on-field recognition while at the game, the opportunity for winner’s Child to throw out a ceremonial first pitch while at the game, one (1) gift bag filled with Brewers memorabilia at Sponsor’s sole discretion, and the opportunity for winner’s Child’s artistic expression to be featured on the Milwaukee Brewers main scoreboard during the pre-game recognition. ARV: $2,000

One (1) Second Prize to be awarded. The second prize winner will receive four (4) Field tickets for winner, winner’s Child, and two (2) guests to the Milwaukee Brewers home game currently scheduled to take place on June 2, 2026, the opportunity for winner’s Child to receive on-field recognition, one (1) gift bag filled with Brewers memorabilia at Sponsor’s sole discretion, and the opportunity for winner’s Child’s artistic expression to be featured on the Milwaukee Brewers main scoreboard during the pre-game recognition. ARV: $1,500

One (1) Third Prize to be awarded. The third prize winner will receive four (4) Field Level tickets for winner, winner’s Child, and two (2) guests to the Milwaukee Brewers home game currently scheduled to take place on June 2, 2026, the opportunity for winner’s Child to receive on-field recognition, one (1) gift bag filled with Brewers memorabilia at Sponsor’s sole discretion, and the opportunity for winner’s Child’s artistic expression to be featured on the Milwaukee Brewers main scoreboard during the pre-game recognition.
